How it works

Three steps, no editing software.

01Bring the match

Paste a YouTube link to download it, or open a video file from your computer.

02Cut the plays

Mark the moments that matter and tag each one — a goal, an assist, a key pass.

03Keep them

Save the clips to an organized folder, or send them to KICKO already catalogued.

Where the clips go

Your clips, your choice.

To a folder on your computer

Each clip saved with its tag, in a folder that stays in order match after match.

To KICKO

Send the plays you chose to your KICKO account, already tagged, and build the highlight there. Sending needs a paid KICKO subscription.

Why I built it

Recording your screen to grab a play loses quality, and editing software is too heavy for cutting a few moments out of a match.

I built TrimOut so the cutting part is simple and the quality stays exactly as it was in the original video — nothing is re-encoded.

Questions
Do I need KICKO to use it?

No. TrimOut works on its own and saves clips to your computer. Sending clips to KICKO is optional and needs a paid KICKO subscription.

Does it lower the video quality?

No. Clips are cut from the original video without re-encoding, so they keep its quality.

Is it a subscription?

No. TrimOut is a one-time payment and the app is yours to keep. KICKO, the app that builds the highlight, is a separate subscription.

What do I need?

A Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) computer. No account and nothing else to install.
